150 years of Blazing Star Masonry

2019 marks the 150th year of Blazing Star Lodge #694 Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York’s Masonic Charter granting Masonic work and instruction. Actually, Blazing Star Lodge # 294 F&AM was in East Aurora, NY since 1818. The original Lodge was forced to turn in their Charter in 1927 after the Morgan Affair. Going by the original Charter Blazing Star has been a part of East Aurora, New York for 201 years. After the rechartering the Lodge grew rapidly. Only 37 years after in 1906 the Brothers broke ground on a brand new Masonic Lodge. A few modifications and some modernization this is the same Lodge that stands on Main Street today.

Today we are celebrating the rededication of our second Charter; #694. This is a historic event that is happening in a historic building. The public is welcome to visit us at 7:30 pm this evening, Saturday, June 15, 2019, to witness the ceremony and help us celebrate this achievement. One hundred and fifty years is impressive but we are a strong Lodge and we will see at least another one hundred and fifty years of Masonry in East Aurora, New York.

We are setup and will broadcast Live on Facebook Live and on YouTube. If you are unable to come to the Lodge this is the next best thing.
