Past Master Called from Labor

Brethren:

calledfromlaborIt is my sad duty to report that Past Master Stanley Zaretski put down the working tools of life.  He passed away on Friday, 7/18/2014.  Brother Stan has been in failing health the last few years.  He was Past Master of Blazing Star in 1982. He was very good with ritual work and was very active in the lodge until he suffered a stroke about 12 years ago.

Brother Stan will be buried in Peckford, PA on Wednesday in the town he was born. The family may have a memorial service in about two weeks in East Aurora. If they do have the service, a Masonic Service will be scheduled. I will let you know more
details as they become available.

Thank you,
Wor:. John

Good morning,
We are now 19 days away from the opening of this year Erie County Fair. To date I have received word from some of our Lodges. Some have locked in dates that they will cover during the Fair: Living Stone will help cover the 10th and the 17th, Charles W. Cusman Lodge will assist with the 10th, Washington Lodge has picked the 9th, and West Seneca Lodge has the 13th. Let me know if your Lodge has a date in mind (weekdays are greatly appreciated).
Thank you for your response to date.
There are still a lot of days and time slots waiting to be filled. Please continue canvas your Lodge and get as many volunteers as possible so that we can maintain the success rate that we have experienced in the past.
You do not have to be computer savvy to work at the site. We need individuals to work the laminating machine, check people in, crowd control, greeters, and many other functions.
Remember we are trying to fill two basic time slots each day, one from about 10:00am through 3:00pm and the other from 2:30pm till close. The volunteers are welcome for any day and multiple days are encouraged. They don’t have to be with just their own Lodge. We like to increase the camaraderie among all Brothers whenever possible.
Spouses, significant others, and friends are welcome. We will work with you to cover admission and parking where possible. Get me lists of your volunteers their date(s), contact information as soon as you are able.

Fellowcraft Club Meeting

Alton's LogoBrethren:

The Fellowcraft Club will be meeting this Saturday at 9am. We changed the location for this meeting.  We will be meeting at Altons restaurant at Transit and Rt16. We have a few items to discuss plus the usual jokes, story telling, and whatever else may come up. The August 15th KYCH steak bake fundraiser, Lodge picnic, and Toyfest are the items for discussion.

Come out for breakfast and enjoy some fellowship with your Brethren.

Thanks
