On Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 9:00 am until Noon, the Brothers of Blazing Star Lodge are holding a drive up, no-touch food, supply, and fund drive to support FISH of East Aurora and The Rural Outreach Center.
Our longtime friends and neighbors at FISH of East Aurora are always in need of donations to supply their food pantry. Many families in the towns of Aurora, Elma, Marilla, Holland, and Wales rely on FISH to help them through difficult times. All food donations will help to restock their pantry to aid our neighbors who need it most.
At the same time we will also accept personal and household items for The Rural Outreach Center. The ROC not only provides food and items for those in need but instruction and coaching to “assist, empower, and elevate our Participants as they work toward self-sufficiency”. They are in need of most household and personal items but the top 10 are listed here.
Diaper Cream | Conditioner |
Paper Towels | Hand Soap |
Boxes of Tissues | Women’s Shaving Cream |
Women’s Deodorant | Hair products: Brushes/ Combs, Bobby Pins/ Hair Ties |
Body Wash | Jars of Baby Food |
Both of our neighbors are doing excellent and much-needed work in our area. They always need our assistance and we hope we can make giving quick and easy for you. We will have cars pull in, we will accept your donations, and you can drive away. No need to even get out of your car. At the end of the food & supply drive, everything will be boxed for transport. All food donations will be delivered to FISH of East Aurora while all supplies will be delivered to The Rural Outreach Center. We hope that you can help us make this a success.
The Brothers Of The Bread already promised a donation of ten cases (120 jars) of Welch’s Jelly donated by Welch’s and about 100 loaves of bread (upon availability) donated by Pepperidge Farms. So it looks like we need some Peanut Butter! If you do not want to donate food or supplies, cash or checks are also welcome. We will split the monetary donations 50/50 between Fish and The ROC.
Come out and help support your neighbors in their time of need. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We hope to see you there.
