“Most glorious God! author of all good and giver of all mercy! pour down Thy blessings upon us, and strengthen our solemn engagements with the ties of sincere affection! May the present instance of mortality remind us of our approaching fate, and draw our attention toward Thee, the only refuge in time of need! that, when the awful moment shall arrive, that we are about to quit this transitory scene, the enlivening prospect of Thy mercy may dispel the gloom of death; and after our departure hence in peace, and in Thy favor, may we be received into Thine everlasting kingdom, to enjoy, in union with the souls of our departed friends, the just reward of a pious and virtuous life. Amen.”

Masonic Service for PM Paul Cochran

Called from laborThe Masonic Service for PM Paul Cochran will be this Saturday at 11:00 am in East Aurora. Paul was a very special member of our lodge and was still active well into his eighties. His last visit to lodge was when he received his 60 year pin. Paul passed away just weeks before reaching 65 years in the craft. Wor Breth did some research and found that PM Cochran was originally raised at Whiteface Mountan Lodge #789 in Saranac Lake, NY. He affiliated with Blazing Star in 1962.

Bro. Cochran Called from Labor

It is my sad duty to report the passing of Past Master Paul Cochran. Brother Cochran put down the working tools of life on November 17th. Hewas raised to the degree of Master Mason on December 7th, 1949 and served as Master of Blazing Star Lodge in 1990. Brother Cochran was very active within our lodge until health issues prevented him from coming

In recent years. He assisted in many degrees well into his 80’s and stood as Tyler for nearly 20 years. Brother Cochran also was in Commandry and Royal Arch Masons. Paul was a very nice man, and very good Mason. He will be missed.

Thank You,
Wor John Markuse
