The Corner Stone

We are witnessing Masonic and American history unfolding.  This time capsule originally placed by Brothers Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and William Scollay in the ground beneath the cornerstone of the new Sate House on Beacon Hill was opened Tuesday January 6, 2015.  Contents include; five newspapers, 23 coins with the oldest being from 1652, a medal of Brother George Washington, a replica of Colonial records, and a silver plate commemorating the building of the new State House (photo below).  “Historical accounts say the corner-stone was escorted on a truck decorated with ribbons through the streets of Boston Massachusetts by 15 white horses each with a leader with military guard of “independent Fusiliers”. Masonic Military Outreach

Brethren,   FYI-Very-Very important request!
Our Second Erie District, Masonic Military Outreach and Veterans Affairs Chairman, Brother David Peters has set up a date at the Veterans Hospital to distribute items that were purchased through our Masonic Brotherhood Fund for our Veteran’s that are currently patients at the Veterans Hospital on Bailey Ave.

Brother Dave needs our help distributing the items; please read his message and request and then share with the Brethren in our lodges.
Let’s get over to the hospital and show our Veterans that we Mason’s care dearly for them and support them–I hope to see you all there.
Wear your Apron, show your pride in Masonry
Thank you Brother Peters for all you do for our Veterans;

Bro. Cochran Called from Labor

Brethren:
It is my sad duty to report the passing of Past Master Paul Cochran. Brother Cochran put down the working tools of life on November 17th. Hewas raised to the degree of Master Mason on December 7th, 1949 and served as Master of Blazing Star Lodge in 1990. Brother Cochran was very active within our lodge until health issues prevented him from coming

In recent years. He assisted in many degrees well into his 80’s and stood as Tyler for nearly 20 years. Brother Cochran also was in Commandry and Royal Arch Masons. Paul was a very nice man, and very good Mason. He will be missed.

Thank You,
Wor John Markuse
