Lodge Night – January 22, 2019

Stated Communication
.: By-Law Changes / Masonic Education :.

Tuesday, January 22, 2019

Brothers,

Our last communication was the memorial service for our departed brothers. We paid respect and honored those who have paved the way but are no longer among us. We also read a few Grand Lodge notices and upcoming training notices. I hope our newer Brothers, even our long term Brothers can attend all or part as it is a good learning opportunity for everyone.

The Grand Lecturers convention is coming up. They are going to demonstrate and explain the updated Hiramic legend of Grand Master Hiram Abiff. It should be very interesting.

We also had the 3rd-degree history lesson. Brother Barber always does a superb job with this and again he did not disappoint.

We received reports from our committees and all were very favorable. The 150th celebration this June is going to be a good one, but it will take the support of all the Brothers to make it successful.

Our next communication will be held on January 22, 2019. Dinner is at 6:30 pm with culinary delights being provided by our Jr. Warden. We open at 7:30 as usual. It is our time to vote on by-law changes. I have not been made aware of any, but this will be the time to bring them up for discussion and voting.

Bro. Paterek has been putting together a few Masonic lessons and if he is ready the first one will be presented. I am looking forward to it.

Hope to see everyone there, Please do your best to come out and support your Lodge and Brothers.

Fraternally,

W:. Glenn

Lodge Night – January 8, 2019

Stated Communication
.: Memorial Night :.

Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Happy New Years Brothers,

I hope this finds you all well and rested from this holiday season. Our last communication saw the Raising of two new Master Masons. Thanks to all who were there and lent a hand.  We had two traveling Brothers visit whom we hope to see again.  Special thanks go to our Brothers of Mt. Vernon Lodge #263 F&AM in Java, New York.  We always welcome and appreciate their contributions to the evening’s festivities.

Our next communication on January 8, 2019, should be a good one. We are having our memorial night to pay respects to our Brothers that have gone before us. We also will have the Master Mason historical lecture to complete the ceremonies for our newest Brothers. And we also have a 150th committee that is underway with the planning of the Lodge re-dedication this June.

Dinner is served at 6:30 pm.
Lodge opens promptly at 7:30 pm.
Fellowship and refreshments for those staying after Lodge.

This year looks to be busier than any I have seen since becoming a Master Mason. As we approach our 150th anniversary, as a Lodge, we should all be proud that it has maintained and will continue into the future advancing Masonry as we go, but also we need you, my Brothers, to help out. It is going to be a big undertaking which will require many man-hours. Many hands make light work.

Hope to see everyone this Tuesday, come on out and make new friends and reconnect with your Brothers and Lodge.

Fraternally,
W:. Capron

Do you need a ride?  Please contact the Lodge, we have plenty of Brothers all around town willing to share a ride.

Keep Brother Janesko and all brothers that are in need of our aid or sympathy in your daily thoughts and prayers.

A Poem for our sick or distressed Brethren
“We said a prayer for you today and know God must’ve heard,
We felt the answer in our hearts although He spoke no words.
We didn’t ask for wealth or fame, We knew you wouldn’t mind.
We asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.
We asked that He be near you at the start of each new day.
To grant you health & blessings and friends to share your way.
We asked for happiness for you, In all things great and small.
But it was for His loving care, we asked the most of all!”
