East Aurora Sidewalk Sale 2022

The Brothers of Blazing Star Lodge joined the East Aurora Sidewalk Sale yesterday serving hot dogs, hamburgers, and the in-famous Dogaburger! The weather was perfect, sunny with a nice breeze to keep things cool. Everyone had a great time and it is always amazing getting out and mingling with the neighbors. The Fisher-Price Collectors Club members were selling their toys in the Lodge and from the sounds of things they had a successful and fun day too (without the breeze).

We do these fundraisers to help us continue our charitable contributions, specifically Brothers Of The Bread where we pick up bread and other overstocked perishable items from manufacturers and supply local food pantries with much-needed food. We are on track to supplying over 30,000 loaves this year. Be assured that all proceeds generated through those who purchased hot dogs, hamburgers, or drinks from us will go to a good cause. Thank you for your support.

Check out that heat! Don’t touch that! It’s hot!

See you next at the Toy Town Car Show! Sunday, August 28, 2022. Would you like something other than hot dogs and hamburgers? Let us know, all suggestions are welcome and considered.

We Have A TV Winner!

Congratulations to John and Debbie P. winners of the 55″ TV. We want to thank EVERYONE who purchased a ticket or more. The funds raised will help us continue our charity work in the area. Specifically, we help The Fish of East Aurora food pantry, Rural Outreach Center, Bread of Life, and many more. I understand it would feel better watching a new TV but keep in mind your donation IS going to help those in need. Thank you for your kindness in helping our community.

Thank You, Everyone

In July 2020 the Brothers of Blazing Star Lodge #694 F. & A. M. held a food, supply, and fund drive to help FISH of East Aurora and The Rural Outreach Center. The generosity of the community blossomed into a truckload of food for FISH and supplies for The ROC. While the Brothers did contribute to each the bulk of the donations came from the people of East Aurora and surrounding areas.

We received letters of appreciation from both and we wanted to share the handwritten portion of the letters of gratitude from each.

Dear Friends,
We are grateful for your continued donations that make our mission to help others possible. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Judy
FISH Of East Aurora
Please tell your members how grateful we are for this wonderful gift.
Thank you,
Frank
The Rural Outreach Center

We plan on making the food and supply drives more often however, both can use everyone’s help all year. Please consider donating to FISH of East Aurora or The Rural Outreach Center anytime you have the means. Through your donations, they are able to help support families (your neighbors) in need. Sometimes we have to accept help and other times we are able to help yet we are always together.
